Well done to the bowlers who braved the elements and went to Strathmore for the practice match yesterday.
The Town and Country Challenge Cup has been part of the Kyneton Bowling Club calendar for a number of years but had a Covid interruption in the last two years.
Yesterday was another sign of getting back to normal. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind and the game was washed out after about 10 ends.
We were shown great “bowling club” hospitality with a lovely lunch and afternoon tea and a friendly atmosphere.
Hopefully the return match at Kyneton next year will be in better conditions and we can win the Cup back. It has been in Strathmore for too long.
